Guidelines for broadcasting on SKY UK
POST WATERSHED GUIDELINES
- Any move towards stronger material must be very restrained between 21:00 /22:00 CET/ and 22:00 /23:00 CET/, particularly in the
period 21:00 to 21:30
- No broadcast of bare breasts before 22:00 /23:00 CET/ on SKY or 22:30 on FV.
- At no time broadcast invasive shots of presenters’ bodies,
- Avoid physically intrusive, intimate shots of any duration, and avoid less intrusive shots which may become unacceptable because they are prolonged.
- Nudity is acceptable after 23:00 /24:00 CET/ subject to compliance with the remaining bullet points
- At no time broadcast content that would attract a BBFC R18 or its equivalent rating
- No aggression, visual or spoken – “keep it moving”, with the emphasis on eroticism (e.g spanking should be brief and ‘cheeky’ and not leave red marks)
- No broadcast of anal or genital detail. Ensure that presenters’ clothing adequately covers their anal, labial and genital areas, and avoid adjusting clothing (e.g. clutching and bunching) if this results in any anal, labial or genital areas being exposed.
- No broadcast of images of presenters actually touching their (or another’s) genital or anal areas eg: with their hand, tongue or an object. This includes cupping.
- No broadcast of images of any real or simulated sex acts (including vaginal or anal intercourse, masturbation (including rubbing), fellatio or cunnilingus or use of objects eg: dildos)
- No shots of presenters spitting or mimicking spitting onto their or others’ bodies
- No shots of presenters using other liquids, such as oils and lotions, on their genital or anal areas, or mouths – use of oil on other body areas, including breasts, is acceptable but not of a sort or in a way which suggests the liquid is ejaculate.
- Subject to the other bulleted points, shots of two or more presenters engaging in acts of an erotic nature
on each other is not acceptable
- No broadcast of sexually explicit languageeg: “fuck” “cunt”. This includes lip reading. Sexually explicit
language should be avoided altogether prior to midnight.
- The promotion of websites, products or services that contain R 18-rated material or its equivalent is not permitted and no such material must under any circumstances be broadcast
- Do not materially mislead viewers – for example, in the areas of pricing and superimposed text
- Do not suggest, explicitly or implicitly, that material is live when in fact it is pre-recorded, if the result would be that the viewer would be materially misled
- No use of language, behaviour or dress style capable of being construed as depicting a minor.
- Over 18s should be mentioned at the start of the show on SKY and FV, and hourly after this.
Note that a failure to keep to very restrained material between 9pm and 10pm is likely to result in a breach. The above key points are NOT exhaustive but since they do reflect the most recent formal advice issued by Ofcom, THEY ARE MANDATORY AND PRODUCERS MUSTCOMPLY with them.
Gusset to camera rules
There is no problem in having gusset to camera provided:
- The camera shot is not “invasive” eg: dwelling on a close up – keep it moving
- No anal, labial or genital detail is apparent – Ofcom have a very wide interpretation of what comprises such “detail” and often refer to “outer labial detail” or “anal shading” - which basically means that skimpy gussets or gussets which are made of a material that does not fully cover up the areas mentioned must be avoided – the clothing must “adequately” cover these areas.
- They must not touch their genital or anal area either with hand or object
- Particular care should be taken when the presenter moves position or adjusts their clothing – no bunching or clutching of the gusset which results in anal, labial or genital areas being exposed
- Particular care is applied where two girls are on screen together at the same time and where, for example, one of them helps the other to adjust their clothing (eg: tucking in a label)
- Appropriate regard is had to the particular presenter in terms of their character, shape/size and elasticity! The producers know the specifics of the presenters and their idiosyncrasies and therefore in approaching this subject regard must be had to the same – anticipating the potential for a problem rather than reacting to one
- The frequency with which such shots arise is graduated and well away from the watershed.
- If a girl is on all fours with her gusset to camera, this is OK unless she is thrusting hard or in this position for an extend period.
But UK Girls still make hot Sessions, but ETV will censor as much they can... Bye Bye Puccishow....
